I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I knew I wanted to be a mom - and that’s where it ended. No career goals. No giant aspirations. So I took a generic business course, found joy working as a florist, got married, had 2 beautiful girls, and discovered my purpose - to preserve God’s beautiful creations - flowers.
Elvie’s started when I taught myself how to preserve my own bridal bouquet in 2018 and I absolutely fell in love with the idea. I spent months educating myself through online tutorials, books, connecting with fellow preservers, and many many trials and moldy flowers.
In the fall of 2022 God gave me the push I needed to step out and make my dream a reality. Why couldn’t I make this into a business? Why couldn’t I grow this into a job that will provide for my family? Why couldn’t I do this? Well - I could. And I did. I started putting myself out there and little by little I have watched my sweet Elvie’s flourish and grow into the incredible business it is today.
Curious where the name Elvie came from? My beautiful daughter’s nicknames are Ellie & Vi - so I put them together and made Elvie’s. They are our constant source of inspiration and joy. The way they see the world and confidently walk through it is beautiful.
This is for them.
The Story of Elvie's
Each and every one of our frames is lovingly handcrafted from beginning to end by my talented father, Perry.
My dad has many years of experience working as a carpenter, home builder and renovator. We have been blessed by his skills in many aspects and he has taught my husband and I both so many valuable trades skills.
When I shared with him my ideas for Elvie’s, I was struggling with finding quality frames made to last and protect the precious flowers I was putting in them. Without hesitation he went straight to work designing multiple concepts and perfecting them until we were ready to release our real wood, handcrafted frames.
From the sourcing, planing, cutting, assembling and finishing - each piece of wood is purposefully selected and turned into something beautiful. Our frames are a true family heirloom - from our family, to yours.
Perry - My Dad
My team absolutely would not be complete without my husband, Austen. He is the creative genius behind so many elements of Elvie’s. My wedding show booth set up - all of the credit goes to him. Setting up my home studio and organization elements to aid in my design processes - him.
Any problem I can’t solve, idea I need to hash out, moment of self-doubt I need to squash - he is my go-to. My constant cheer section.
Elvie’s wouldn’t be possible without him.
